All exhibitions of the Nippon Suiseki Association are supported by the
Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
“Taki” means waterfall, and these are represented by one or more white
veins running over the stone’s surface.
These are stones with an open, flat space resembling a plain.
Though danseki may also have flat, plain-like areas as the above doha classification,
the particular characteristic of these is a terraced or stepped appearance.
